The girls at World Duty-Free kindly sent over some beauty products available at the terminals. They have a fantastic selection of high-end brands so I was excited to see some of my favourites had been included in the PR package.
First up is the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock which has been on my wishlist for AGES! I much prefer cream eyeshadows for everyday wear. They are quick, fuss-free and look beautiful on the eyes and the By Terry one are no exception to this. The shade Misty Rock is gorgeous purple with a brown base that twinkles and reflects in the light. It's incredibly creamy and pigmented, yet can be blended out with ease. I may pick up some more shades from Duty-Free when I head to New York later this year.
Another of the PR items was for the eyes, the Givenchy Noir Interdit Lash Extension Effect Mascara. You can tell this mascara is created by a fashion house, the packaging is so chic with its polished black squared tube and ribbon effect trim. The one thing that is unusual about this mascara is its wand. The head itself looks like a mini hair-brush, rounded with only one side of bristles. It also can be clicked on its side at a 90-degree angle to make application easier. I do find that if I place my mirror under my face pointing upwards, I can use the brush at the 90-degree angle and it's easier to get to the root of my lashes. I find the formula gives lengthened and separated, fluffy looking lashes - very pretty!
Last but not least was a travel exclusive from Estee Lauder, their 3 Pure Colour Envy Hi-Lustre Light Sculpting Lipsticks with a small cosmetics case, perfect for travel. The set contains, 11 Nude Reveal, 220 Sheer Sin and 320 Drop Dead Red, a nude, a pink and a red, all you would need to take away with you on holiday. The name of these lipsticks is a bit of a tongue twister but it does accurately describe the formula, they do have a 'pure' high pigment, that also has a lustre finish, it almost makes the lips look more sculpted and plump with the light reflecting elements. They are a dream to wear, not sticky or drying in any way. I'm glad to have them in my collection.
I didn't actually know you can look at World Duty-Free prices online before you fly, so you can make a little beauty wishlist beforehand!
I would love to know what you pick while at the airport in the World Duty-Free beauty hall!
