Yes, I’m already talking about Christmas, as soon as September rolls around beauty brands are starting to gear up for the festive period. Beauty advent calendars were a big trend last year but this year I think they will be bigger and better! I haven’t bought one in previous years, but I am going to purchase one this year.
I’ve split the beauty calendars into pricing to make shopping easier. I’ll be adding links to this post when the products are available to buy, so keep an eye out for updates.
UNDER £50
I’m a huge fan of bath bombs in the winter, this advent calendar is a perfect introduction to the brand if you haven’t tried it before. There is a mixture of mini soaps and bath blasters, scents include Jelly and Custard Bath Blaster, Cotton Candy Bath Blaster, Adventures in Eden Soap and Lime and Dany Soap.
If soaps aren’t your thing and you just enjoy bath bombs, Bomb Cosmetics have an advent calendar dedicated to them. It’s only a few pounds more expensive than its sister product.
Fans of the YouTuber will be happy to know this advent calendar is already available. The cute shop front style packaging houses some of her cult products; lip glosses and nail polishes. Plus, new products like glitter liners and eye shimmer pots, ideal for Christmas parties.
Benefit Beauty Advent Calendar - £34.50 – Launches in November at Debenhams.
I’m glad that Benefit has gone for a lower price range on their advent calendar, making it accessible to all. This box houses some of my favourite Benefit products, Porefessional Primer, Rollerlash Mascara, Hoola Bronzer and High Beam Liquid Highlighter.
Yankee Candle Advent Calendar - £34.99 – Launches in October at Yankee Candle
If you don’t want to add to your makeup and skincare collections, you could always opt for this candle advent calendar. It has 23 mini candles and a special votive candle to be unwrapped on the 24th of December.
Sephora Winter Wonderland Beauty Advent Calendar - About £35 - Coming soon
I adore the house front design they have opted for. Inside are 24 Sephora own brand products. I have tried the odd Sephora product while travelling and love the quality!
Holland and Barrett Ethical Calendar - £35 - Launches 18th October in stores
This is a welcome addition to the beauty calendar line up for 2017. It's excellent to see a brand focus on ethical/green beauty. It has some of my favourites such as the Weleda Skin Food (it's like the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream - multi-use), Yes to Charcoal Face Wipes (great for oily skin) and Trilogy Rose Hip Oil (use this on scarring).

I don’t think Sleek has created a beauty advent calendar previously. It’s an affordable option for the makeup junkies. Behind the doors, you will find brushes, contour kits (one of my faves), liquid liners and lipsticks.
Jack Wills Beauty Advent Calendar - £35 – Launches at Boots on 18th September
This would be a great gift for teenage girls who are a fan of the Jack Wills brand. I wouldn’t say it’s the best value for money as it does have ‘filler’ products like hair bobbles and nail files but it is a nice introduction to a beauty advent calendar.
Marks and Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar - £35 – Launches 9th November.
Technically this is only available for £35 when you spend £35 on clothing or home at M&S, making the spend £70. However, this might be your opportunity to stock up on essentials like bras, socks or tights etc. to make up the £35 spend. Lots of bloggers loved this beauty advent calendar last year because of the great variety of brands included. This year, there are samples from Rodial, Alpha H, Nuxe, Eyeko and Emma Hardie to name a few.
Feel Unique The Season to Shine Beauty Advent Calendar - £35 – Coming soon
I’m a big fan of Feel Unique as their site hosts a number of brands I adore. I don’t have too much information on this box yet but will update this as soon as I do.
Boots No7 Beauty Advent Calendar - £40 - OUT NOW
I adore the chic gold box that the products are stored in. Behind the windows sits a variety of their cult products including Beautiful Skin Micellar Cleansing Water, Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil, Airbrush Away Primer, 3 Eyeshadow Monos, 3 Limited Edition Nail Polishes, as well as make-up brushes and a No7 Beauty Sponge. It's worth over £169, so great value for money!
Their Royal Bloom advent calendar is a series of drawers which hide presents such as mini shower creams, body lotions and hand and nail creams. The drawers would make great storage after use.
I’m a big fan of Soap and Glory products, if you are a long-term reader you’ll know their Archery brow pencil is my Holy Grail. This beauty advent calendar is a mix of bath and makeup products including classics like Pillow Plump Lipgloss and Thick and Fast mascara. There are also heavenly smelling bath, body and foot products inside. I wonder if this will be a Star Gift in Boots over Christmas?!

Even though this is the cheapest, I think it’s great value for money!

L’Occitane has two beauty advent calendars this year, see their more expensive luxury calendar under the £150 section of this post. The more affordable option includes a selection of body lotions, shampoo, and their well-loved moisturising hand creams.

Ciate London Nail Polish Advent Calendar - £50 – Available from ASOS, Feel Unique and Very in October
I think Ciate was one of the first brands to start beauty advent calendars a few years ago. Their nail polish advent calendar is back, you also receive a nail treatment, file and nail toppers. It’s not the most adventurous beauty calendar but it is still good value for money.
NYX is famous for its extensive line of lipsticks, the Lingerie collection being very popular with bloggers. If you haven’t tried any lip products from the brand, this advent calendar is your chance. It has different formulas including matte and cream lipstick, chubby lip cream, liquid lipstick, matte lip cream and creamy lip gloss. I would give this a miss if you already have most of the NYX lip range.

Inside you will find: Original and Tinted Mineral Veil Finishing Powder, Skin Longevity, Deluxe Marvellous Moxie lip-glosses and lipsticks, blush, mascara and a pen and notepad.
I believe this beauty advent calendar sold out last year, so they have a waitlist you can join for the 2017 launch. The contents aren't revealed online which could either be a nice surprise or a risk depending on how you look at it. However, we do know that it contains 19 exclusive products, 13 skincare products, 3 beauty tools and 7 cosmetics samples. They say it is worth over £300.
