Freckles have become the latest nail trend thanks to Illamasqua. Beauty bloggers have been swatching and coveting these spotted pastel paints, but with a hefty price tag of £14.50 per nail polish I thought I'd show you how to create the freckle look with DIY
Just follow the steps below...
1. Start with freshly cleaned and filed nails.
2. Next step is to paint your nails in your favourite colours. I tried to dupe the Illamasqua pastel and nude colours.
Nail Polishes used:
ELF in Desert Haze
Topshop in Parma Violet
Barry M in Mint Green
17 in Mint Choc Chip
Nails Inc Pink from Instyle Magazine
3. I used my Models Own WAH! Nail Art Pen to dot the nails, I made big and small dots to mimic the effect of the freckle nail polish. This look can be achieved by dotting liquid eyeliner in the same way if you don't have a nail art pen.
4. Sephora by OPI's Bare to be Different is a milky opaque shade that is a perfect top coat to finish this freckle effect. The milky colour dulls down the black dots to make it more like the Illasmasqua matte grey specks.
VoilĂ !
