Tiny Treat

I haven't treated myself to some new beauty products in a while, so today I used up some Boots points and found some bargains.

I've been lusting after the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation for a while after hearing it was a dupe for Chanel's Vitalumiere, which I will never be able to afford to try it out, so I settled for this. I'm hoping it will be more light weight than my MAC Studio Fix as I need something lighter for summer. I chose shade 51 which is the lightest, I'll let you guys know what I think!

I picked up the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing Powder, Boots was had an offer on Bourjois, buy one get one half price, so this was £3.50 instead of £6.99. Every time I look through my friends make-up bag I smell this, strange I know, but it smells like cocoa and holidays. Now I have my own one to smell... and oh use of course!
SECRET: Bourjois is made in the same factory as Chanel make-up so they tend to have similar products or dupes!

These two products were bargains. We have a store in my local town called  Bodycare, not sure if it's nationwide but it's great for cheap beauty products!

I've been hating the colour of my teeth lately so I picked up the Pearl Drops Toothpolish for 99p. Fingers crossed it removes some of the yellow staining!
I'm desperate for a hair cut, the ends of my hair feel horrible, but until I can get to the salon I plan to slather my hair in the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment, it was 85p, so you can't go wrong!

Sorry I didn't have much to show, counting the pennies lately but I was in need of some retail therapy. Thank God for Boots points and cheap beauty products 'eyy!

What have you treated yourself to this week?

Max Factor False Lash Effect 24 Hour - Review

Max Factor False Lash Effect 24 Hour Review

It saddens me to write a bad review about the Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara. If you've been following me for a while you'll know that I love the original False Lash Effect so much, along with L'Oreal Telescopic mascara. So when the 3 for 2 offer was running in Boots I decided to try out the new formula which is named False Lash Effect 24 Hour. It does what it says on the tin, but in a bad way.

Texture and Application
This 24 hour formula has the same brush as the original formula, tiny spikes surround the plastic thick brush.
The texture is thicker than the original, I put this down to 24 hour claims. It does not flake and lashes look black and separated all day.
This stuff does not come off! I wiped my eye make-up off with a cleansing wipe, and then had to try my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for a further cleanse and some of the mascara was still there. Two days later there was still some coated on my lashes.

Final Thoughts
I like to remove all traces of make-up around my eyes as I tend to get eczema around my lids, so this isn't a go to product. I would recommend to people who lean towards waterproof mascaras and are used to the long removal process.

Have you tried this mascara out? What did you think of it?

Dove Summer Glow Review

The thought of getting my pasty pins out in skirts and dresses this summer makes me cringe. I have a very pale skin tone and I never naturally tan, so I decided to try Dove's Summer Glow lotion.

Dove Summer Glow Review

First Impressions - Texture and Application
It's more of a body cream than a lotion, the texture is smooth but quite thick. It also has a nice light scent when you first use it. I used my hands to apply this, it was easy to smooth over the skin, so it was a simple application. I do advise washing your hands thoroughly after use to avoid orange palms.

Results
After applying, I noticed I was still a little sticky a few hours after application and when I got into bed, I felt like my skin was sticking to the bed sheets.
I woke the next day and noticed a streak on my wrist. I noticed a slight change in colour but nothing to dramatic. The major down side to this product is that the nice initial smell turns into that horrible fake tan smell of biscuits.

Dove Summer Glow Review Streak

I continued to use the product to see how it would perform in the long term. When showering, I noticed that patches of the colour would rub off, it wore off so unevenly and looked blotchy. My friend also noticed this when she tried it out.

I wouldn't recommend this again, yes it gives you a slight colour and it's hydrating to skin but it's not worth it for the smell, streaks and patches! I give it a 1.5/5.

Any recommendations for a good gradual tanner?

Summer Loving

Summer is just around the corner... fingers crossed. I love ditching my jumpers and jackets and swapping them for dresses and cute accessories in the summer months. Here is my summer wishlist from ASOS, the names of the pieces are click links to help you find it quicker!

I adore this powder blue colour and the embroidery is really feminine and the cut out crochet detailing is really on trend.

This dress ticks two trend boxes, it's both midi and floral. The loose fit and silky fabric will be great for those scorching hot days, that's if we have any!

The skater dress is kitsch and cute which is the biggest trend this summer, mixing pastels with fun graphics and appliqués.

These white brogues are an update on the classic brown brogues, the pink sole gives it a playful edge.

I adore pinafores, think primary school chic this summer, try it with some frilly socks and a denim jacket to edge it up.

Okay, I can't help but swoon over this Moschino bag, it's incredibly cute and perfect for picnics and dates.

What is on your summer loving list?

Lady is a Vamp

Hey guys! Before I get into the good stuff, I would like to thank everyone who follows my blog, I recently hit 10,000 pages views, which is amazing!

So now to the lipstick loving...
I've been lusting after darker lipsticks lately and after seeing a few of my friends wearing dark shades on nights out and looking fantastic and celebs picking up vampy shades, I took the plunge! I picked up 17 Supreme Shine in Deep Secret. The lipstick name is a little deceiving, it's not really a 'shine' lipstick, it's more on the matte side to be honest, but this doesn't bother me!

Harrods Wishlist: Sponsored Post

1. StratfordBowling Bag by Alexander McQueen - £535
This Stratford bowling is heavenly. McQueen is known for edgy punk/gothic inspired garments and accessories and this bag is no exception.  I love the studding and the razor blade tag detail.

2. Ladies SportChronograph Watch by Michael Kors - £179
I received the Michael Kors Tortoise Shell  MK5138 for Christmas about 2 years ago and it is one of my most prized possession. I’d love to get a silver stainless steel version from Michael Kors, so I could switch between the two depending on my outfit and other jewellery choices.

3.Lip CoverPrimrose Hill Pink No.30 by Burberry - £23
I’ve been lusting after Burberry make-up since its release earlier this year. The colour range is very neutral and is easy to wear; I think Burberry will be the new Bobbi Brown for natural make-up looks. This lipstick colour named Primrose Hill is perfect for the English rose look.

4.Beaded SkullBracelet by Alexander McQueen - £269
Rose gold jewellery is my new love; it looks fantastic with my pale skin tone. This McQueen bracelet brings together both classy and edge styles to create this statement piece that will last you a life time.

LUSTING:Wishlist for this week

1. Laura Mercier Second Skin Blush in Peach Whisper
After one of my favourite beauty blogger Vivanna Does Makeup posted about her Laura Mercier blush, I've been dying to get my hands on it! Its such a subtle coloured blush that would go with everything and is perfect for glowing skin in the summer.

2. American Apparel Disco Pants in Charcoal
As my previous post shows, I love American Apparel's Disco Pants! I've had my eye on the charcoal pair after seeing Sammi from Beauty Crush wearing them. I think I'm going to start wearing my black pair during the day too, not just night time and wear them with a denim shirt and a  tank top or crop top.

3. Topshop Moto Black Skinny Jeans
As some of you might know I've been interning for Wish Want Wear, a designer dress hire company in London, I need some new black skinny jeans to wear for work. I think with a nice chiffon printed shirt, these jeans would be perfect for the office!

4. Topshop Pretty Poppy Printed Corset
I was just browsing Topshop's New In section on the website and spotted this adorable corset top. I love the print it's so pretty and summery! Wish the weather would brighten up so I could wear stuff like this!

5. Paco Rabanne Lady Million Perfume
I have a small collection of perfumes at the moment but I think Paco Rabanne Lady Million is hands down my favourite. It's such a beautiful scent that when ever I wear it I get compliments. Sadly I've just run out of it, so a re-purchase is needed soon!

What are you lusting after?
